Greetings, weary traveler. Welcome to Believe in Fairies Beta Reading. If you have a work-in-progress that you are passionate about and need a critical eye for, this is the right place! As a Beta reader, I will read your manuscript and offer in-line comments and suggestions on anything from plot, character development, pacing, and narrative voice- and anything else you can think of that will make your work more polished and ready to query and publish.
I read primarily fiction. Fantasy, romantasy, historical fiction, and sci-fi are my loves. If you have a story that’s anything like The Cruel Prince by Holly Black, or Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden, I would love to hear your elevator pitch of your book! I am open to other genres, but not to horror or psychological thriller at this time.
My rate is $0.00125 per word. If, for example, you have a 50,000 word novel, I will charge $62.50. If you have a 200,000 word epic, I will charge $250.
I have a turnaround time of two weeks for manuscripts that fall below 50,000 words. 75,000-150,000-word submissions will take three to four weeks, respectively. That being said, you can expect in-line comments and remarks on your manuscript, and a report at the end of my reading.
The report will include my reactions to scenes as I read them, my opinions of your characters and an analysis of their behaviors and dynamics with one another, and any thoughts I may have about overall plot and pacing. Again, anything you ask me to keep in mind will be addressed here.
